Well, it's official. Seven and a half years after the fiasco started, Kelly Ellard was found guilty of murdering Reena Virk. This is the third trial for this woman. It was a waste of time, energy and the taxpayers money to try her three times after she was initially found guilty in her first trial. While justice has finally been served, it appears that the Canadian justice system needs a serious overhaul when a out-of-control teen is allowed three trials for something that she bragged about doing.

I have heard from someone I know that this girl and her friends were bullies of the worst sort and actually have met one of the victims that was previous to the death of Reena Virk. This victim had to remove themself from this school because of the bullying. This person could have been Reena.

The trouble is, now that there is closure, you know that an appeal is likely. Highly likely. Just another big waste of time and money.

Kelly Ellard is a violent young woman and is also up on other charges of assault in a case just last year. Are we able to rehabilitate this kind of person? I'd like to believe that anyone can but know that this is probably not the case. For her to say "My life is over,'' she said, crying. "You got what you wanted. I'm going to be convicted.'' is unbelievable. Her life is over? What about the girl that she killed. Reena didn't have a chance. Kelly had a chance and she blew it. She should take responsibility for her actions. It will only be then that she realizes that she had a choice. One choice that Reena never got.
